As you all know I've been working on decorating my apartment and the one of the biggest challenges has been find things to put on the walls. There is a ton of white space which I love, but I wanted some color to liven things up a little bit in the living room. I decided to start a gallery wall above the couch and to fill in some of the empty spaces I ended up using my own creations.

I love these funky canvas' and their use of color and my favorite accessory, gold.
I thought I'd re-create a less perfect but cool version for my own wall.

I covered two blank white canvas' in different colored acrylic paint.
Then I used gold leaf to add a gold staggered design to the bottom.
There was no rhyme or reason to my painting, I wanted it kind of messy.

You can see the finished product above in the top right and left corners.
The end result was a cool abstract way to add some extra color to the living room without clashing.
The gallery wall is still a work in the progress but so far I love the addition to our apartment.
