FriYAY! I'm so excited that we're back to the weekend and even more excited because my little sister is coming to stay with us. We've got a great weekend of shopping, delicious food and quality time planned and I can't wait. On Sunday my parents are coming to visit so they can take my sister back home so I'm making everyone one of my favorite recipes for a large group. Slow-cooker shredded BBQ chicken sammies. I've made this a couple of times for football Sundays at the apartment last year and it's always a hit. This is the first time I'm really cooking for my parents and I'm excited to have them see what I can do (since they're still convinced I can't microwave a TV dinner). Check out the recipe below.
Ingredients
(Makes 6 servings)
6 frozen skinless, boneless chicken breast halves
1 (12 ounce) bottle of bbq sauce
1/2 cup of italian dressing
1/4 cup brown sugar
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce

1 (12 ounce) bottle of bbq sauce
1/2 cup of italian dressing
1/4 cup brown sugar
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
Directions
Place chicken in slow cooker. In a bowl, mix the bbq sauce, italian dressing, brown sugar and Worcestershire sauce. Pour over the chicken.
Cover, and cook 3 to 4 hours on high or 6 to 8 hours on low.
I usually take the chicken out after about 3 hours, shred it and then return to the sauce to cook for another hour or so. This way it absorbs the sauce and makes for a great sandwich.
