Is anyone else shocked that the 4th of July is next week? I feel like summers already going too fast and it's just getting started. Anyway, since I'm apparently so unprepared, I'm getting on top of my BBQ game and trying to find some cool party ideas for Independence Day. I'll be doing several "4 for the 4th" posts and today we'll start with desserts. Here are some simple and fun ideas to celebrate America in the sweetest way possible.

Okay, looking at my choices now I realize that 3 out of 4 involve chocolate covered pretzels but hey, at least I know what I like. Chocolate dipped pretzel rods were one of my favorite snacks that my mom made as a kid and the ones above are absolutely adorable. They require a little more skill than the previous ideas but you can get a full tutorial here.
This is probably the most challenging snack to make but it's definitely worth it.
